i just stumbled across this while trying to find out if the new Pho restaurant is open.
I guess it used to be a Jiffy Lube probably looking a bit like the one below. I’d say its a bit on an improvement.

I was seriously thinking it was another Crossfit gym. Relieved. Although I’ve gotta say, a gym is a pretty good use of an old garage.

Interesting, it’s a low-cost public recording studio.

I want to find an old garage to turn into a studio/workshop/living space.

There was an old auto shop where I used to live that was converted to an upscale boutique style shop to appeal to tourists (the whole damn town is tourist-y)
It was also a thing in Milwaukee for awhile to convert auto shops into coffee shops.

Still tho, good find. I’m a podcast junkie, my best friend is a podcaster, so to see something like this is intriguing. To me, at least.

The problem with barns is that it’s more cost-effective to just build your own. There’s a company called shelter kit that sells pre-cut barn kits for surprisingly cheap.

Its a damn shame that all the ones in better parts of Detroit have already been bought, or will need to be torn down. It’d be very cool and cost effective, but I dont want to live in the middle of the ghetto. This the last good deal I remember seeing. House and Garage for $99k.

I ate at a pizza place converted from an old filling station. The dining room was in the twin bay garage and they open both the doors during nice weather. It was nice.

i love the whole re-use thing like that. I’m working on an old office building that will become upscale condos. Its not as exciting as a garage but at least it makes a paycheck.

was excited when I saw “podcast garage” turns out it's a garage for podcasting. Not a podcast about doing stuff in a garage

exactly my reaction as well. it would be pretty cool if you could rent out the garage and document your repairs there for a podcast
